“Old happens—if you think I’m lying, just keep on breathing,” says David Glover during his solo performance play, Old Happens. Through the performance, which he wrote and also performs, Glover speaks about growing old and finding total acceptance in the process, maintaining pride and dignity for life in all its forms and dimensions.

Aging, like any other life process, is different for every individual. David Glover tells the story of growing into one’s senior years of life, looking at aging from a variety of perspectives, including society’s attitude towards aging, and his own deeply personal reactions to aging.

“I am grateful for the old that I’ve become,” says Glover, “and my attitude in accepting and being, which has inspired me to write this play.”

“Old Happens” will be coming to Mercy Retirement & Care Center for  free performance on Thursday, May 18th, from 3:30-4:30 p.m. For more information about “Old Happens,” visit www.davidgloverproductions.com.
